Commonwealth Games Gold Medal archer Danielle Brown was welcomed home to Craven with flowers on October 21, 2010.

Danielle, 22, from Lothersdale, was the first disabled athlete to compete for England in an able-bodied event in the games. She had already won gold for archery in the Beijing Paralympics in 2008.

The chairman of Craven District Council, Paul Whitaker and the chairman of Lothersdale Parish Council, Stephen Cohen presented bouquets to her at a reception in Skipton. Also present was the chairman's consort, Wendy Clark.
